Duncan Smith |Principal
Duncan has extensive experience advising on the laws of the British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands with regards to capital markets, corporate advisory, investment funds and restructuring matters.
Duncan is a director and sits on the investment committees of a number of private and regulated investment funds. Duncan was the founding partner of the British Virgin Islands firm WSmiths, and was the Managing Partner for Asia of global offshore firm Ogier and a member of the firm’s global executive management team following the merger with WSmiths in 2007.
Duncan is a Registered Foreign Lawyer regulated by the Law Society of Hong Kong.

Vanisha Harjani | Registered Foreign Lawyer
Vanisha advises local and international clients on the British Virgin Islands legal aspects of finance transactions. She is also experienced in the establishment and maintenance of British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands investment funds.
Before joining George & Partners, Vanisha previously practised with global offshore firms, Harneys and Ogier in Hong Kong for 9 years after completing her legal training in the UK.
Vanisha is a Registered Foreign Lawyer regulated by the Law Society of Hong Kong.

Michael Fay QC |Registered Foreign Lawyer
Michael has practised law in the British Virgin Islands since 1996. His practice covers dispute resolution, insolvency, corporate law and trusts. Michael routinely works with law firms, banks and fiduciary service providers throughout the world with respect to large multi-jurisdictional transactions and disputes.
In July 2011 Michael was appointed, and from time to time sits, as a Deputy High Court Judge, and a deputy Court of Appeal Judge, of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. He was appointed as a Queen's Counsel in 2013 and is an honorary member of Radcliffe Chambers in London.
Michael practised between 1989 and 1996 at 5 Fountain Court and at Radcliffe Chambers at 11 New Square. He relocated to the British Virgin Islands in 1996, and was a founder partner at WSmiths prior to its merger with Ogier in 2007. He retired as a partner in Ogier in 2014 upon the announcement of the sale of Ogier Fiduciary Services to Electra Partners. He is a partner at Agon Litigation in the British Virgin Islands.
Michael is a former Vice-President of the British Virgin Islands Bar Association, a member of the BVI Government Company Law Review Committee, the BVI Government Joint Anti-money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Advisory Committee and various other Government advisory bodies.
He is the Chairman of the British Virgin islands Financial Services Appeal Board - the statutory body charged with hearing appeals against decisions made by the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission.
